My name is Cecilia Rojas, I am an educator by profession, originally from Costa Rica.
Since I was a child I have been very creative and have made figures in fabric and also in clay.
In a workshop, I learned to make masks, using clay as a base and making them with paper.
During the Covid1-9 pandemic, I found myself one day making a jaguar. I took all the previous knowledge and put it together to be able to achieve it. From there, I found ways to reproduce the figures, and every day I try to improve; I look at published ideas and take what helps me to continue creating.

The raw material for these creations is recycled materials. The initial shape is formed using wet clay, followed by several layers of recycled paper applied with flour glue to harden it. In some cases, it is necessary to use wire and cardboard to achieve the desired shape. The final finishes are achieved through sanding and painting.
